As a Lead in our powder coating division, you will oversee the paint team, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and policies while actively participating in daily production activities.
This position operates on a schedule of four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime as needed.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in powder coating, preferably in a leadership capacity
- Strong ability to motivate team members and communicate effectively with management
- Proficiency in reading measuring instruments such as gauges and calipers
- Ability to interpret job routings, work orders, and blueprints
- Familiarity with Infor Visual for work order management and proficiency in MS Office applications
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Establishing requirements for part preparation, cleaning, powder application, and curing for various metal components
- Leading the team to meet quality standards and production deadlines
- Developing production plans to efficiently handle diverse parts and colors
- Inspecting components for defects before and after the powder coating process
- Maintaining and inspecting wash and powder application equipment
- Loading powder into machines and applying coatings using spray guns
- Masking parts according to customer specifications
- Ensuring cleanliness and organization in the paint area, including equipment maintenance
This role involves working with various industrial equipment and may expose you to loud noises, chemicals, and varying temperatures. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that involve bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.
