Skill Enhancement and Workflow Optimization

As a Principal Instructor, you will play a crucial role in empowering customers with innovative GIS software. You will develop dynamic learning environments through hands-on training, interactive instructions, and engaging activities. This includes creating customized training programs to enhance users' proficiency in ArcGIS software, both domestically and internationally.

In this position, you will identify and address skill gaps through targeted training sessions and workshops. Your ongoing support and guidance will help users overcome challenges and stay updated on the latest GIS trends and technologies. By doing so, you will ensure that the training content remains relevant and up-to-date, catering to the diverse needs of our customers.

You will also work closely with customers to understand their business processes and requirements. Using your expertise, you will provide guidance and training on best practices for designing and implementing sustainable GIS workflows. This may involve delivering workshops and training sessions to educate customers on workflow sustainability. Additionally, you will support customers in overcoming challenges related to workflow sustainability and addressing any skill gaps.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leveraging Esri's software capabilities, particularly in ArcGIS Enterprise or Enterprise Geodatabases. A strong background in classroom facilitation and instructional delivery is essential, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to handle multiple responsibilities while prioritizing student needs is also critical. Strong listening skills and the ability to incorporate feedback to continuously improve instructional delivery and course materials are highly valued.

This role requires a deep understanding of GIS technology and its applications. Familiarity with web-based meeting tools is a plus, as is completion of an Esri technical certification and facilitation certification. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate technical writing ability and possess a Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Engineering, Information Science, or a related field. A Master's degree in these fields is also recommended.
