We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Defense Health Agency. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Obtain patient information and vital signs, and document in the health record.
- Provide individualized nursing care to patients of all ages, based on the physician's medical care plan and nursing assessment.
- Assist the physician with examinations and diagnostic procedures, and set up and maintain a sterile field.
- Administer medications, oxygen, and IV fluids, and perform various treatments and procedures.
- Screen and review immunization records, and administer immunizations as required.
- Document patient education and follow-up care, and communicate with the healthcare team as needed.
- A current license to practice as a practical or vocational nurse in a State, territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
- At least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
