Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA of Superior CA. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate programs for preschool-age children, aligning with the YMCA's goals and policies.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and support to staff members, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment for children, parents, and staff.
  • Communication and Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with families, communicating effectively and providing regular updates on their child's progress.
  • Staff Development and Support: Provide day-to-day leadership and support to staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Operational Responsibilities: Ensure the maintenance of a clean, safe, and well-organized learning environment, adhering to YMCA policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 18 years of age or older, with a minimum of 12 college quarter credits in early childhood/child development or equivalent educational background.
  • Certifications and Training: Current state-approved first-aid certification, community CPR certification, and TB test by the Manitou method.
  • Skills and Qualities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with diverse groups, and a commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
