Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement a comprehensive preschool program that aligns with the YMCA's goals and policies.
  • Staff Supervision and Leadership: Provide guidance and support to staff members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to deliver high-quality programming.
  • Child Supervision and Safety: Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children in your care, maintaining a clean and organized environment that promotes learning and development.
  • Family Engagement and Communication: Build strong relationships with families, maintaining open and transparent communication to ensure their needs are met.
  • Program Evaluation and Improvement: Continuously assess and improve program effectiveness, making data-driven decisions to enhance the overall experience for children and families.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 18 years of age or older, with a minimum of 12 college quarter credits in early childhood/child development or equivalent.
  • Certifications and Training: Current state-approved first-aid and CPR certifications, TB test by the Manitou method.
  • Skills and Qualities: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work effectively with diverse groups, knowledge of culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate practices.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Ability to plan, lead, and participate in activities, maintaining a physically active and engaging environment for children.
Compensation

$18.00-$19.00 per hour
