Job Summary

A & Associates is seeking an experienced Instructional Systems Designer to support the development of training programs for the US Navy. The successful candidate will have expertise in cognitive task analysis, instructional design, and courseware development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist project managers in establishing contract schedules and timelines
  • Lead Train the Trainer (T3) events, instructing trainers on new courses and their functionality
  • Coordinate the collection of redline corrections during T3 and Pilot events
  • Ensure the correct implementation of redline corrections while maintaining project schedules
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to validate the technical accuracy of all redline corrections
  • Analyze and evaluate learning objectives to ensure instructional soundness
  • Participate in Pilot events and ensure the successful implementation of training programs
  • Review and revise courseware to ensure instructional quality and effectiveness
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Systems Design or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in instructional design for the US Navy, with expertise in the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) End to End (E2E) process
  • Experience with data input and modules within the U.S. Navy/NETC GOTS curriculum development tool, including Course Control documents, Instructional Media Design Package (IMDP), Course Training Task List (CTTL), and Training Course Control Document (TCCD)
  • Experience with data input and output products in the Learning Object Module (LOM), including Instructor Guide (IG), Trainee Guide (TG), Assignment Sheets, and Job Sheets
  • Instructor Led Training (ILT) and Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) design and development experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) courseware development tools like Adobe Captivate and Creative Cloud software suite
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on grammar, editing, and quality assurance capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading or participating in T3 and Pilot events, including post-event redline update/revision to AIM CPM/LOM curriculum control documents and products, and IMI authoring tool
  • Experience leading a detailed instructional analysis effort
  • Experience utilizing the Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (ADDIE) process in support of training programs
  • Working knowledge of the current US Navy/NETC E2E process and Technical Training organization and ratings
