Job Summary

The Clubhouse Director is a key leadership position responsible for the overall coordination of the Club and integration of the Club within the resort organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage the budget, plan, and execute golf and club operations, including membership sales, marketing strategies, and fiscal responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to maximize revenue and member participation
  • Manage membership, golf, and event staff to ensure effective planning and implementation of member events and comprehensive club communications
  • Oversee all aspects of club financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
  • Maintain the club's website in collaboration with the resort marketing department
  • Act as a liaison between the club, board, and HOA
  • Establish an advisory board and provide quarterly reports on membership needs
  • Assist in resolving member issues and define club policies and procedures
  • Maintain the clubhouse, golf course, and racquet facilities
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in hospitality or club operations, with 3-5 years in a leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent computer skills and high-level proficiency in technology programs and platforms
  • Understanding and experience in operations or sales
  • Ability to work with resort and corporate marketing teams on club marketing initiatives
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel, Word, email, and database maintenance
  • Experience in preparing strategic plans, budgeting, forecasting, and reviewing financial statements for a club operation

Language Skills

Sound command of the English language, with the ability to read and interpret a P&L statement, communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and speak professionally and effectively with guests and associates throughout the organization.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to successfully conduct and accomplish multiple tasks, exhibit financial responsibility/competence, and possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
