Job Summary

The Pathology Coordinator is a vital member of our team, responsible for managing the communication between patients, family members, care providers, and other healthcare institutions. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize EMR system to monitor, track, document and manage pathology results
  • Track, document and import pathology results as needed or required
  • Answer patient calls, emails, and questions and/or refer to the right professional
  • Scan documents into patient charts and send documents out to referring professionals when needed
  • Discuss with patients and families regarding treatments, procedures, and continuing care
  • Provide community resources and referrals for continuing care
  • Perform analytical and data entry tasks and maintain reports and state reporting
  • Confidentially manage patient accounts
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards & regulatory requirements
  • Work as a team player to ensure each patient receives the best service possible
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 + years of experience in a medical office or dermatology setting is preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
  • Experience with back medical office duties

  • Proficiency in using computer systems and basic office software
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
