The Nurse Manager facilitates the realization of the organization's mission, strategic plan, and values at the point of care. The Manager plans for, leads, coordinates, and facilitates the provision of quality care and service for a defined population of patients and facilitates the procurement of appropriate supplies/equipment and provides for adequate numbers and mix of staff to deliver nursing care. The Nurse Manager demonstrates excellence in problem-solving, leadership, communication, fiscal responsibility, and teamwork. The Nurse Manager provides leadership, consultation, and collaboration in a dynamic, multidisciplinary teaching environment. They collaborate with administrators and other members of the healthcare team to design, evaluate, and improve patient care systems and processes. They support nursing professional development, Magnet, and Shared Governance through participation in, and mentoring of colleagues, on councils and the Clinical Ladder program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and enhance the quality of treatment and care for our patients, ensuring the highest standards of service.
  • Direct staffing and administration for nursing units, optimizing team performance and patient outcomes.
  • Cultivate a positive team culture that motivates staff and promotes exceptional patient experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's Degree in Nursing preferred, Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Licensure: Active RN license
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years acute care experience required; experience in a similar or 'like' unit is preferred
    • demonstrated leadership and management potential required
    • Chemotherapy certification preferred (must be obtained within one year of hire date)
    • Infusion experience preferred
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
