About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with surgeons and registered nurses to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of surgical procedures.
  • Ensure the operating room environment is safe and equipment functions properly.
  • Implement sterile and aseptic technique to minimize the risk of infection.
  • Communicate effectively with the leadership team and UCIC to identify and resolve unit issues.
  • Comply with established departmental and organization policies/guidelines.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology program.
  • Previous Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
  • Current Surgical Tech Certification preferred.
