Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Audio-Visual Installation Technician to join our team at Diversified. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of installation duties on technology projects for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with project management, field superintendents, and other stakeholders to fully understand project requirements and responsibilities.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to create the basis for finished systems, including displays, projectors, loudspeakers, microphones, and equipment racks.
  • Lead and delegate tasks to install crews, subcontractors, and union trades, and may be required to regularly lead a team on large projects.
  • Verify all work complies with Diversified's and clients' quality control standards, and oversee field operations in situations without a dedicated on-site superintendent.
  • Perform physical installation of a wide variety of technology into a wide variety of locations, and execute a variety of cabling terminations for wire and connector types.
  • Support the preparation of equipment racks for staging of equipment, including wire lacing, installation of power strips, grounding bars, and jack-fields.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems, and provide a consistent level of technical performance as well as flexibility in work schedule.
  • Maintain daily records of time worked on specific projects for timesheet entry, and an employee/contractor information log to share with management.
Requirements
  • High school or GED equivalent, and/or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years as an installation technician or related industry experience.
  • Experience with leading or managing a team or project, and AVIXA CTS Certification is preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and adhere to our insurance requirements.
  • OSHA 30 Certificate required, and NYC OSHA30 preferred.
