Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager, you will:

  • Continuously evaluate the performance of Loan Officer Assistants (LOAs) and provide necessary coaching and training.
  • Conduct monthly one-on-one performance reviews and goal-setting meetings with each LOA.
  • Serve as the primary resource for inquiries regarding system issues, compliance, and guidelines.
  • Ensure coverage for LOAs during their time off, stepping in as needed.
  • Facilitate monthly meetings to share best practices and address challenges.
  • Act as a liaison between LOAs and other mortgage department members.
  • Deliver regular group training sessions to keep the team updated on regulatory requirements.
  • Advocate for the LOA team and communicate process improvements.

Administrative Duties

Your administrative responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and approving timesheets and PTO requests.
  • Monitoring daily reports to ensure compliance with deadlines and service-level agreements.
  • Providing input on employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions.

Adherence to Regulations

Ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws and regulations governing the Credit Union while upholding our strong values and culture.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • 6+ years of mortgage experience with expertise in lending compliance and processes.
  • 2+ years of coaching and leadership experience in the mortgage sector.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Tenacity in resolving questions and conflicts.
