Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Trauma Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at St. David's South Austin Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and making a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement and evaluate care
  • Direct, monitor, and evaluate the care delegated to non-licensed personnel
  • Administer medications, complete treatments, and provide patient education
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Provide care for critically ill patients, including those with central/invasive lines, hemodynamic pressure lines, and artificial airway/mechanical ventilation
Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
  • 1 year of Critical Care and/or Trauma Nursing experience preferred
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited Nursing program
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 1 year
