Position Overview

The Security Operations Manager is tasked with executing the AER corporate security framework and ensuring adherence to both company and client security protocols.


The ideal candidate will engage with various levels of AER staff and governmental officials to guarantee compliance with the National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), Department of Defense Manual, Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254), and Program Classification Guidelines.

This role demands a proactive individual who can operate effectively in both independent and collaborative settings with minimal oversight.


The Security Operations Manager is responsible for conducting security self-assessments, applying risk management strategies, assisting in client evaluations, and enforcing security protocols to fulfill regulatory requirements.

In this capacity, the Manager must exhibit the decisiveness to make crucial security judgments and to enforce procedures that will safeguard against unauthorized access to corporate and governmental premises or sensitive information.

Daily Responsibilities


The Security Operations Manager oversees daily security initiatives, including personnel processing, program evaluations, document management systems, audits and self-assessments, incident investigations and reporting, as well as maintaining logs for receipt, dispatch, destruction, and visits.

Additionally, the Manager is accountable for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of effective security awareness, training, and educational programs.
