JOB SUMMARY:

The Fitness Coach plays a vital role in our Personal Training team. This position contributes to the club's profitability by attracting new clients and maintaining relationships with existing ones. Fitness Coaches are expected to deliver effective training sessions, foster a supportive club atmosphere, and ensure outstanding customer service. In this capacity, you will offer nutritional guidance, structured workout plans, and monthly fitness assessments to inspire each client to achieve their personal fitness objectives. Additionally, Fitness Coaches will assist with the daily operations of the personal training department, which includes making outreach calls, organizing promotional events, conducting seminars, and performing demonstration training sessions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – YOUR ROLE:

  • Design, document, and implement individualized or group exercise programs tailored to the realistic needs and aspirations of clients.
  • Conduct monthly fitness assessments and evaluations for all clients.
  • Educate clients on fundamental exercise physiology.
  • Demonstrate safe and effective use of all fitness equipment and exercises.
  • Provide safe and effective exercise techniques and nutritional advice.
  • Adapt specific exercises to suit various skill levels.
  • Maintain a daily record of client exercise programming and progress.
  • Keep a calendar with 30 days of availability.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for all club members by organizing weights and equipment.
  • Familiarize yourself with all facility emergency procedures and respond promptly in emergencies.
  • Participate in required meetings, training sessions, and workshops as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS – WHO YOU ARE:

  • National Certification from recognized bodies such as NSCA, NASM, NESTA, AAAI, or ACSM.
  • Current CPR/AED certification (not online).
  • Maintain and provide up-to-date certifications to the People Operations department.
  • Possess basic computer skills along with writing, spelling, and math abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong planning capabilities.
  • Strong service orientation and commitment to delivering an exceptional member experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of working professionally with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Work quality must be accurate, timely, and adhere to company policies and procedures with a strong emphasis on safety.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
