About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pet Groomer Assistant to join our team at Pet Supplies Plus. As a key member of our grooming team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our furry clients and their owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality grooming services, including brushing, bathing, and trimming nails.
  • Learn and demonstrate all the skills necessary to become a groomer through our online distance program.
  • Ensure the wellness and safety of our furry patrons at all times.
  • Develop long-term relationships with our neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that will keep their pet healthy and happy.
  • Perform routine cleaning to keep our grooming environment fun and inviting.
  • Successfully complete Safety Training certification.
  • Assist store team members during grooming downtime.
Requirements
  • Experience in retail or other industry working with pets, but not required.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment, or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to review videos and take tests online.
  • Flexibility in working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Candidates must pass a drug screening (in applicable states) and validated selection test and be at least 18 years old.
