Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pet Groomer to join our team at Abadie Veterinary Hospital in Harahan, LA. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality grooming services to clients, including bathing, trimming, and styling dogs and cats. This is a rewarding role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for animal care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional grooming services to clients, including bathing, trimming, and styling dogs and cats.
  • Utilize grooming instruments, including shears and dryers, to achieve high-quality results.
  • Comfort and calm nervous dogs to promote a positive experience.
  • Provide direct customer service to establish a trusting bond with clients and handle potentially difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and self-directedness to keep your workstation neat and tidy.
  • Perform nail trims, ear cleaning, and anal gland expressing as needed.
  • Ability to receive feedback from clients and adapt to their needs.
  • Physical demands of the role include bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and standing for long periods of time.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of pet grooming experience required.
  • 2+ years' experience as a professional groomer.
  • References required.
