Apex Systems, a prominent player in the IT staffing industry, is seeking a talented individual for the role of Senior Electrical Operations Leader. This is a Full-Time Employment position.

Position Overview:
The selected candidate will oversee the Electrical Department within the Aviation & Federal Global Practice, leading a team of approximately ten professionals. This role will also involve engaging with the market to provide business development and technical support across various business lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the quality of Electrical and Low Voltage design outputs.
  • Recruit, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Identify and address training needs for staff.
  • Monitor quality levels and investigate root causes of issues.
  • Proactively manage staff performance and project quality.
  • Coordinate work assignments among engineering staff and project managers.
  • Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Oversee staff utilization and accountability towards billability goals.
  • Assist in defining project goals, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Provide senior-level technical guidance on projects.
  • Contribute to the development and management of annual budgets.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential problems while balancing risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct performance reviews and coordinate with management.
  • Review and approve timecards and PTO requests to maintain project schedules.
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives through staff assignments.
  • Assist in the development of regional office staff and quality control.
  • Engage in business development activities with clients.
  • Maintain a billable time expectation of 90%.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Previous leadership or management experience is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with a strategic outlook.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to influence and manage change effectively.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer is strongly preferred.
  • Prior consulting experience is highly regarded.
