Job Description

As the General Manager for Transportation, you will be responsible for driving our transportation strategy and operations in your market. You will own the financial performance and ensure seamless load out & execution of last-mile deliveries.

This role requires strong leadership and transportation expertise to identify opportunities, improve processes, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across operations, sales, technology, and more.

You will have full ownership of your markets transportation business and P&L, allowing you to directly impact growth and success.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.


Key Responsibilities
  • Own your markets transportation business: Take charge of financial performance and drive results across the board.
  • Operational excellence: Ensure a seamless customer experience through a strong focus on key performance indicators (KPIs), both quantitative and qualitative.
  • Build and manage the fleet network: Create and maintain strong partnerships with delivery service providers.
  • Develop and Implement end-2-end EV solutions for your markets: You are part of a team that is the market leader in zero-emission last-mile deliveries in North America, continuous innovation is a key focus to keep this leadership position.
  • Coordinate mid-mile and last-mile operations: Work closely with the mid-mile team to manage shipments and pickups, while collaborating with fulfillment teams on route launches.
  • Optimize routing: Assist the routing team in planning efficient delivery routes for the fleet.
  • Problem-solve and report: Proactively address delivery issues, fleet challenges, and DSPs payments to maintain smooth operations.
  • Compliance and continuous improvement: Adhere to transportation policies and safety regulations while researching and implementing cost-effective methods to evolve the transportation strategy.

Skills and Experience
  • 5 years of experience in North American transportation.
  • Strong experience managing third-party DSPs.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation and safety regulations.
  • Expertise in routing and scheduling deliveries to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Fluency in English, with solid communication skills in Spanish.
  • Highly organized, with a problem-solving mindset and the drive to go above and beyond to find solutions.
