Job Description

Job Title: Scrum Master

Category: Full-Time

Status: Salary, Exempt

Reports to: Director of Program Management

Key Responsibilities:

Team Delivery and Facilitation:

Lead software development product and programs, ensuring business value & timely delivery.

Define initiative scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, vendors & product teams.

Act as Scrum Master for one or more teams, providing direct support and improving planning skills.

Identify required resources for product goals and organize work and deliverables.

Facilitate teams in identifying effective solutions to challenges.

Agile/Team Management Guidance and Support:

Guide and train teams in adopting Agile/Scrum practices and values to achieve product outcomes.

Facilitate team improvement, collaboration, and transparency through meaningful retrospectives.

Help build dynamic product backlog and translate vision to execution plan.

Create management reports and presentations to keep stakeholders informed of progress.

Foster a trusting and safe environment for problem-solving and conflict resolution.

Program Management:

Utilize appropriate tools and lean practices to manage product development and programs effectively.

Identify risks and lead issue resolution to keep programs on track.

Ensure effective decisions & prioritization of customer needs and product value.

Own and manage data accuracy across product and programs, generating insight from effective metrics.

Communicate release roadmap and upcoming developments to stakeholders.

Leadership and Development:

Demonstrate servant leadership and model product mindset shifts.

Continuously improve internal competency for effective tools and techniques.

Generate ownership among team members and proactive collaboration.

  • Facilitation Skills: Effectively facilitate meetings, discussions, and decision-making processes to ensure productive outcomes, accountability and maintain team engagement.
  • Conflict Resolution: Mange and resolve conflicts within the team, promoting healthy dialogue, and foster a positive working environment.
  • Empathy and Emotional Intelligence: With active listening, empathize with team members' perspectives, emotions, and challenges to build high performing team
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Champion continuous learning and improvement, both personally and within the team, to adapt and evolve Agile practices for greater effectiveness.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Build ability to adapt to changing priorities, requirements, and circumstances, ensuring that the team remains responsive and resilient in dynamic environments.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business or relevant field

3 - 5 years experience in Software Product Development or Technical delivery management

Previous experience as Scrum Master, Product Owner or Agile Coach

Solid understanding of software development concepts (agile frameworks), processes and systems thinking

Ability to effectively manage fast paced, dynamic culture and succeed with minimal structure

Strong project management and business analytics software fluency: JIRA, Office 360, PowerBI, etc.,

ACP, A-CSM, ICAgile or other Agile and Project Management certifications highly desired

Training and change management experience highly desired

Salary & Benefits:

This position offers full-time benefits, including a comprehensive benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

Additional compensation may be earned by exceeding sales and service goals.
