Senior Program Manager

As a Senior Program Manager at Shore Medical Center, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our residential program. This includes managing the interviewing and hiring process for prospective house managers, providing supervision, training, and coaching to ensure the proper execution of performance reviews. You will also work with HR/Payroll to ensure employees' correct pay rates and hours, oversee budgets for individual residential houses, and manage employee performance to ensure productivity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the interviewing and hiring process for prospective house managers.
- Provide supervision, training, and coaching to house managers to ensure the proper execution of performance reviews.
- Work with HR/Payroll to ensure employees' correct pay rates and hours.
- Oversee budgets for individual residential houses.
- Manage employee performance to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Work with the residential director, house managers, finance, and human resources to enforce all licensing requirements and maintain compliance in residential houses.
- Handle and resolve disciplinary issues, employee write-ups, employee complaints and grievances, and utilize policies and procedures to implement disciplinary procedures, up to and including termination of employment.
- Ensure that house managers communicate and enforce the residential director's directives, including ensuring that the director's and other department heads' rapid response is carried out in a timely manner.
- Participate in all necessary meetings to achieve programmatic and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure that PCP plans are implemented with integrity by all residential staff and that appropriate data collection occurs.
- Coordinate with required staff to communicate pertinent information regarding each resident, including medical updates, behavior updates, and critical changes in the resident's home environment.
- Oversee LTSS billing for assigned residential homes, ensuring service logs are completed, editing service logs as needed, approving all case-managed logs, and providing house managers with training as needed in the CIMS Date Management System.
- Conduct regular camera checks on each house to ensure the integrity of program implementation and immediately address any concerns viewed on camera footage.
- Conduct announced and unannounced site visits to each residential house to evaluate staff performance and program implementation and provide feedback to the residential director in assessing staff performance.
- Make recommendations to the residential director to ensure staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies are appropriate and sufficient to guarantee the therapeutic and general well-being of residents.
- Ensure that facilities and services provided adequately meet the physical, social, and developmental needs of all residents and that each resident's health, safety, comfort, well-being, and civil, human, and legal rights are adequately protected.
- Coordinate with house managers and the residential director to ensure a manager is available 24 hours daily for emergencies, consultations, etc.
- Work with placement agencies to identify and enroll new students/residents.
- Manage assembling handbooks, binders, public relations materials, new residents' admissions packets, and PCPs. Coordinate and track PCP meetings, licensing authorities, partnering organizations, vendors, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
- At least two years of residential supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of the CIMS Data Management System is a plus.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Valid MD driver's license and an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency's insurance carrier and by Agency policy.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Pass the physical and academic portions of the behavior support and intervention training.
- Ability to write coherent and succinct reports.
- Ability to organize and provide documentation required by regulation and Linwood.
- Interest and ability to address the developmental and social-emotional needs of adults with developmental disabilities.
- Mentor, support, and provide leadership that promotes teamwork, transparency, and accountability.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, patient, and understanding.
- Understanding of fundamental rights and self-determination and assure that the individuals to whom he/she provides support be afforded these rights.
- Comprehensive understanding of Linwood's philosophy and the ability to teach Linwood's methods and philosophy to others.
- Engage professionally with Linwood staff, parents, school system personnel, and other professionals.
- Follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Regularly exposed to weather conditions during travel to and from worksites and appointments.
- Frequently required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, various forms of technology, or controls.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, run, or crawl.
- Must be able to work under regular, moderate levels of stress.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 10 lbs. regularly and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
