Job Title: Center Medical Director

At Oak Street Health, we're on a mission to 'Rebuild healthcare as it should be' by providing personalized primary care for older adults on Medicare. We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Center Medical Director to lead our clinical team in delivering exceptional patient care and creating a great place to work.

About the Role:

The Center Medical Director will be responsible for leading the clinical team at our center, practicing primary care in our clinics, and mentoring and coaching providers to achieve our organizational objectives. This role requires a strong clinical background, leadership skills, and a passion for improving healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of our organizational strategy and drive clinical excellence
  • Lead the onboarding of new providers and model excellent medical care
  • Ensure consistent and robust implementation of our care model and clinical guidelines
  • Assess and address root causes when center metric goals are not reached
  • Lead and coach providers to achieve their goals and develop a culture of coaching and growth
  • Support a positive, Oaky culture of joy in practice
Requirements:
  • M.D., D.O., or A.P.N or P.A. graduates
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine required for M.D. or D.O., Board certification in Family, Adult, or Gerontology for A.P.N
  • Experience in clinical leadership roles and using a metrics-driven approach to medical care
  • Passion for improving healthcare outcomes and a commitment to older adults and low-income patients
  • 5+ years of experience in outpatient practice preferred
