POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for delivering technical assistance to employees facing computer-related challenges, whether remotely or in person. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving while ensuring a high level of customer service. Flexibility to travel to various locations and work outside standard hours may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist users through our Help Desk ticketing system, phone, remote access, or in-person to identify and resolve technical issues, including:
    • Hardware and peripheral support (printers, scanners, etc.)
    • Software application troubleshooting (Windows, CRM systems)
    • Mobile device assistance (smartphones, tablets)
    • Collaboration with third-party vendors
    • Desk phone support
  • Conduct remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Document issues and resolutions according to IT Help Desk protocols.
  • Support the installation and maintenance of software applications.
  • Assist with user setup and configuration of hardware and software.
  • Install and configure new workstations and technology.
  • Manage technology-related asset tracking and inventory.
  • Stay updated with current technology trends and best practices.
  • Provide training and support for new hires regarding basic IT needs.
  • Contribute ideas for improving current processes and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 and Active Directory.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT support or help desk roles.
