Job Summary

We are seeking an Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of antimicrobial agents in our hospitals.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement antimicrobial stewardship programs to promote optimal use of antimicrobial agents.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address antimicrobial resistance issues.
  • Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with antimicrobial use guidelines.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare staff on antimicrobial use and resistance.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Pharm.D. degree with 2 years of experience in inpatient pharmacy hospital/clinical capacity or completion of Pharmacy Residency.
  • Currently licensed or registered to practice pharmacy in Louisiana.
  • Board Certification in applicable specialty area preferred.
