We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Care Nurse to join our team at Ascension. Key Responsibilities- Deliver professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures
- Perform circulating functions, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during, and after procedure
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in on-call rotation for holidays and weekends
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire
- ~2 years of experience in Acute Care PACU facility, ER, or Critical Care in the past 2 years preferred
- ~ Prefer Adult and/or Pediatric PACU experience in an acute care setting
- ~ Provide direct care for the patients in PRE-OP and POST-OP
- ~ Support and Educate patients and families – procedure and plan of care
- ~ Evaluate patient responses to treatments and interventions
- ~ Monitor, record, and communicate with patient conditions as appropriate throughout the PACU recovery
