Position Overview:
The role of the Restaurant Server is integral to our quality Food and Beverage service team. You will be responsible for delivering food to our guests in a friendly, professional manner, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Maintaining impeccable grooming standards is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of proper service etiquette and consistently apply these standards throughout the dining experience.
- Participate in all scheduled staff meetings and additional training sessions.
- Stay informed about liquor laws and adhere to company policies regarding alcohol service.
- Efficiently manage a five-table station during peak service times.
- Be knowledgeable about emergency safety protocols, including the Heimlich maneuver and fire evacuation procedures.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the micros ordering system and other dining room service procedures.
- Know all menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and required condiments.
- Promptly take and expedite guest orders from the kitchen.
- Complete opening and closing duties as outlined in the side duty list.
- Assist with pre-bussing tables and ensuring cleanliness after guests have finished.
- Process guest checks accurately and finalize transactions according to established methods.
- Polish glassware and silverware for the next service period.
- Generate service reports and ensure all transactions are settled correctly, reporting any unsigned checks to management.
- Distribute gratuities in accordance with departmental standards.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
- Previous experience in food and beverage service is required.
- Good physical condition to lift moderate weights and remain on feet for extended periods.
- A genuine desire to provide exceptional guest service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a pleasant demeanor to engage effectively with guests.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and a keen attention to detail.
- Maintain a well-groomed appearance in line with company standards.
- Adhere to occupational safety and health practices, including the use of personal protective equipment when necessary.
Legal Requirements:
- Completion of County & State Liquor training is mandatory.
