Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Pediatric Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to children in a hospital setting. This role requires a compassionate and skilled individual who can effectively assess and respond to the needs of pediatric patients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments, create care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in compliance with established protocols.
  • Lead and coordinate care among team members based on their qualifications and expertise.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance nursing practice.
  • Contribute to the formulation and adherence to hospital policies, quality improvement initiatives, and safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the department.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Required: Graduate from an Accredited Nursing Program
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Preferred: Certification in a nursing specialty

Experience:

  • Required: At least one year of experience as a Pediatric RN in acute care, pediatric emergency, or long-term care settings, or experience in cross-training for Pediatrics.
  • Required: Proficient understanding of age-specific developmental principles and their application in patient care.
  • Preferred: Experience in pediatric emergency care or PICU, including skills in infusions, sedation, IV therapy, and PICC line placements.
  • Preferred: Background in pediatric outpatient services.
  • Additional experience in women's and children's health services is advantageous.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Required: Active Registered Nurse License
  • Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support Certification
  • Required: NRP and PALS certifications as per training requirements.
  • Preferred: Pediatric Nursing Certification

Compensation: $76.12 per hour
