Position Summary
AFCFC is seeking a dedicated Food Safety Compliance Officer to ensure that our franchise locations adhere to stringent safety and sanitation protocols. This role is vital in upholding our commitment to quality and compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce food safety and sanitation standards across retail food service locations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess compliance with established safety protocols and local regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance to franchise operators on food safety practices and operational procedures.
  • Investigate any reported issues related to product quality and compliance with food service operations.
  • Facilitate training sessions focused on food safety for operators and partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Food Science, Environmental Health, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
  • At least two years of experience in food safety.
  • Familiarity with the Retail Food Code is essential.
  • Certification such as REHS/RS or CP-FS is advantageous.
  • Experience in the retail food service sector is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight trips.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
