Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and collection of clinical data
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, including ordering diagnostic tests and therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with attending physicians, primary nurses, and other healthcare providers to provide family-centered care
- Apply advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to provide evidence-based care
- Serve as a resource and team leader during clinical shifts, ensuring the smooth flow of patient processing, treatment, and discharge
- Mentor new staff and physician assistant students, promoting professional growth and development
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York
- Successful completion of ACLS and BLS certifications
- Ability to quickly master computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- HIPAA compliance
This role requires standing, walking, and lifting frequently, as well as sitting, pushing, and pulling occasionally. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively is essential.
