Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider

Join United Urology Group, a leading urology network in the country, as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and be part of a team that makes a difference in patient care.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate APP to join our team. As an APP, you will work under physician supervision to perform physical examinations, write prescriptions, and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. You will be responsible for practicing in multiple clinic sites and hospitals as assigned, with the opportunity to act as first assistant to urological surgeons.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct physical exams, evaluate medical history, assess health status, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and treat illnesses.
  • Perform hospital consultations and rounds as needed.
  • Act as first assistant to urological surgeons.
  • Consult with physicians as needed and refer to physicians for more complicated medical cases or cases that are not a routine part of an APP's scope of work.
  • Adjust patient care plans by reviewing and monitoring treatments and therapy plans.
  • Administer or order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic tests that will assist with medical management.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
  • Triage patient calls and evaluate patient problems.
  • Counsel and educate patients/family on preventive health care for patient needs.
  • Document patient information and care in medical records.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in physician assistant studies required.
  • Certification as a Physician Assistant granted by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required.
  • Acute care certification required.
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and CPR certifications required.
  • Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of employment required.
  • Valid DEA drug license and controlled substance license in the state of employment required.
