Key Responsibilities

  • Perform static and dynamic testing of composite coupons, including bonded assemblies.
  • Design, develop, and implement new and improved processes and design test fixtures.
  • Conduct analysis and tests to evaluate the efficiency of the process.
  • Evaluate processes and equipment to ensure compliance.
  • Troubleshoot problems with testing and implement changes as required.
  • Draft lab procedures, test methods, and populate test databases.
  • Design testing tools and parts using SOLIDWORKS.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot laboratory techniques, procedures, and processing conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or Materials Science Engineering.
  • Strong and effective communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Work Environment

The employee will frequently visit manufacturing sites and areas and may be subject to typical manufacturing hazards. The position requires the ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods and to lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.

Travel

Occasional customer visits are expected, which may include air travel.
