Nurse Manager

As a Nurse Manager in Women's Services at SSM Health, you will be responsible for managing the activities, workflow, and nursing resources in our Labor and Delivery department. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and analyze health data to develop and implement individualized plans of care for women and newborns.
- Coordinate care delivery to promote woman-, newborn-, and family-centered care within the scope of practice.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of expected outcomes in the context of woman, newborn, and family-centered care.
- Determine decisions and actions on behalf of women, fetuses, and newborns in an ethical manner and guided by a sound framework for ethical decision-making.
- Communicate and collaborate with women, families, healthcare providers, and the community in providing safe and holistic care.
- Serve as a role model, change agent, consultant, and mentor to women, families, healthcare consumers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
- No experience required.
- Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
- Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds, and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) - American Heart Association (AHA).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - American Academy Pediatrics (AAP).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (AHA).
This is a night shift position in our Labor and Delivery department at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, WI.
