We are currently seeking a Licensed MRI Imaging Specialist who is enthusiastic and dedicated. Candidates should be prepared to foster a supportive, positive, and professional atmosphere.

Contract Assignment 13 Weeks (Temporary)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of continuous recent experience as an MRI Imaging Specialist, fully proficient in all responsibilities of an MRI Technologist II.
  • Valid license in the relevant state.
  • BLS certification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MRI protocols and procedures.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to effectively present information in individual and small group settings.
  • Capability to learn relevant applications for the position.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting; experience in EP preferred.

Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI equipment to capture cross-sectional images of patients for diagnostic purposes.
  • Under the guidance of the Chief of Radiology and Imaging Services Director, perform related technological functions to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging while adhering to safe practices.
  • Conduct patient studies following established protocols, including positioning coils near the area of interest.
  • Manage imaging equipment to deliver quality diagnostic services, including inputting commands for scan sequences and adjusting equipment settings.
  • Communicate with patients to explain MRI procedures, addressing any concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Ensure the safety of patients and staff by explaining safety protocols and monitoring for potential hazards.
  • Train and orient new hires and assist in the development of MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
