Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at Parrish Medical Center. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and emergent MRI scanning procedures while ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide all aspects of Magnetic Resonance Imaging care based on established standards.
  • Ensure proper prescreening of all patients for MRI procedures, including patient and/or family interviews.
  • Operate computer systems to achieve maximum quality scans for accurate diagnosis.
  • Administer contrast agents when appropriate, using department-established criteria and guidelines.
  • Communicate patient needs and/or pertinent assessment information to radiologists and other healthcare providers.
  • Clean and stock MRI Suite, ensuring infection control guidelines are followed.
  • Prepare and verify daily function of equipment necessary to perform daily procedures.
  • Perform quality assurance and stay up-to-date on manufacturers' safety recommendations.
  • Report any problems to the supervisor.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, patient care plans, and other diagnostic procedures with nursing units, physician offices, and other Diagnostic Imaging modalities.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • MRI Registry (MR) through ARRT required within 12 months of hire date.
