About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Shipbuilding Expert to join our team in Newport News, VA. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in Structural Design and Naval Architecture to contribute to the success of our organization.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in Structural Design, 3D Modeling, and 2D Drawing development, with proficiency in AutoCAD and experience working in the shipbuilding industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizing ShipConstructor to develop Structural 3D models based on Functional Drawings and/or redlines associated with change paper, develop 3D Foundations for equipment, develop Structural Assembly Drawings for Primary Structure and Foundations.
  • Preparing accurate and detailed designs, free form surface models and/or drawings based on concept sketches, photographs, or clearly stated functional requirements or appearances.
  • Working closely with our clients, naval architects, and engineers to produce high-quality, detail ship design products and drawings.

Salary Range

$50,050 - $90,475 per year. The salary range is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
