Job Summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking a skilled Visual Documentation Developer 3 to create quality and accurate Visual Work Instructions (VWIs). This individual will analyze digital design data and utilize products in conjunction with build plans to ensure manufacturing and installation requirements are met.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze digital design data to create quality and accurate Visual Work Instructions (VWIs)
  • Interpret design elements and portions of systems for VWIs
  • Utilize computer-aided design equipment and graphic tools
  • Incorporate required changes as applicable
  • Advise management on status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have an Associate's Degree in a relevant field and 3 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, one of the following may be used as equivalent to an Associate's Degree:

  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
