Position Overview:

Under general oversight, the Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of various heavy construction machinery. This role emphasizes the importance of performing tasks in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and actively promote all safety protocols and procedures, including the reporting of all accidents, incidents, and near misses to uphold our primary core value - Safety first in all operations.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues with construction machinery, including both on-road and off-road equipment, regardless of size.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and machinery as required.
  • Perform minor welding tasks as necessary.
  • Accurately complete daily work orders.
  • Submit approved parts request forms in a timely manner.
  • Execute field service repairs as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, utilizing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Carry out additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience working with both large and small construction machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines on established schedules.
  • Detail-oriented with a flexible approach to work hours.
  • Possession of personal tools and a valid driver's license; a CDL is a plus.
  • Capability to adapt to changing schedules and work demands.
