About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Software Developer to join our team at URUS Group. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web and mobile-based products and services.

Your primary focus will be on driving system architecture enhancements, implementing new features, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will work closely with our product management team, software architects, and technical leads to ensure our designs meet long-term enterprise growth needs.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also be responsible for mentoring junior developers, driving team commitments to successful delivery, and collaborating with architects to research new technologies to improve current processes, security, and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Drive system architecture enhancements, design, implementation, testing, delivery, and operation of components for VAS web and mobile-based products and services.
  • Work directly with product management and your team to analyze and decompose complex software requirements into simple user stories for planning and execution.
  • Drive team commitments to successful delivery.
  • Work closely with software architects and technical leads to ensure our designs meet long-term enterprise growth needs.
  • Collaborate with architects to research new technologies to improve current processes, security, and performance.
  • Oversee the maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
  • Provide exceptional and timely customer support as needed.
  • Support the development of coding standards and adhere to best practices and security guidelines.
  • Drive adoption and implementation of formal processes to support the product development process.
  • Contribute to the refactoring of existing code as necessary to strengthen our applications and minimize technical debt.
  • Follow best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management.
  • Collaborate with your team to estimate the size and complexity of the features.
Requirements
  • Experience delivering products to market.
  • Experience leading software development efforts in a multi-functional environment.
  • Experience with a variety of sophisticated concepts, practices with procedural and object-oriented software development methodologies, web services development, and configuration management.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Proficiency with source code management tools such as Git and GitHub.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, prototyping environment.
