Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at ECHN. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for evaluating patients and developing personalized treatment plans to improve or restore function.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity that requires strong English communication skills, both verbal and written. You will participate in an interdisciplinary approach for in servicing and community education and in the clinical education of affiliating students.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for providing exceptional patient care and be committed to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients based on departmental standards
  • Conduct and modify evaluations based on patient symptoms, level of activity, and medical status
  • Treat patients with appropriate therapeutic exercises (strength, endurance, coordination, and ROM)
  • Administer physical agents (modalities) and manual therapeutic techniques to relieve pain and/or attain established goals
  • Educate patients/families in home exercise programs and/or functional activities
  • Determine when a patient has achieved maximal benefit from treatment and recommend discharge if appropriate
  • Document in accordance with insurance guidelines and adhere to department policies and procedures


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • A current Connecticut license in Physical Therapy
  • Certification in Manual Lymph Drainage Therapy
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Personal computer skills and proficiency in Windows-based programs
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel between multiple work sites
