Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As a critical care nurse, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering compassionate and effective care in our ICU.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to establish care needs.
  • Administer medications and monitor their effects.
  • Perform advanced medical procedures, such as intubation and central line placement.
  • Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in status.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans.
  • Operate and monitor life support equipment and medical devices.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document care provided.
  • Educate patients and families on their condition and treatment plan.
  • Ensure adherence to ICU and hospital protocols to maintain patient safety.
  • Participate in rounds and communicate with the healthcare team.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families.
  • Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff and students.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in critical care nursing.
Requirements
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wyoming.
  • BSN or MSN degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • PALS certification may be required for certain positions.
  • Critical care certification (CCRN) is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient safety.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties, including lifting patients and standing for long periods.
