Lead AI Autonomous Systems and Robotics Engineer

As a Lead AI Autonomous Systems and Robotics Engineer, you'll be part of an interdisciplinary team working across government, industry, and academia to address complex AI and Autonomy challenges. You'll apply your expertise to enable the effective, assured, and responsible application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to critical government missions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge of advances in autonomy and robotics capabilities
  • Leverage technical expertise to evaluate and improve AI/Autonomy system performance
  • Provide thought and team leadership centered around autonomy/AI technology adoption
  • Develop, propose, and lead research in the field of autonomy and AI
  • Evaluate autonomy or AI solutions and provide guidance to sponsors based on their requirements

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or similar field; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Understand the breadth of autonomous systems across different domains
  • Experience in robotics-relevant fields, such as computer vision, deep learning, machine learning, planning, human machine teaming, and multi-robot systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in technical field of study
  • Experience leading either technical or project teams, or serving as a group direct supervisor
  • Practical knowledge of simulation environments for AI/autonomous systems
