ROLE SUMMARY

The Cashiering Team serves as the welcoming face of our Market. They engage with every customer, ensuring that their experience is memorable. Cashiers are expected to be friendly, efficient, and precise, managing transactions, packaging purchases, and assisting customers with their bags.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process transactions quickly and accurately while maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Familiarize yourself with PLU codes to enhance efficiency.
  • Identify various fruits and vegetables accurately.
  • Handle cash transactions with precision.
  • Ensure a swift checkout experience for customers.
  • Package groceries carefully to prevent damage during transport.
  • Keep the workspace tidy and organized.
  • Perform cash drawer counts at the end of shifts.
  • Complete opening and closing tasks, including cleaning duties.
  • Help maintain safe walkways during winter conditions.
  • Deliver exceptional service to customers and colleagues alike.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

This role involves teamwork, direct interaction with customers, and face-to-face communication.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 16 years old.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in retail grocery is beneficial, but not mandatory. This position offers a great opportunity to learn.
