About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Neurosurgery team at HCA Florida Largo Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to our neurosurgeon team
  • Oversee clinical functions within the office, including patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Extend the capabilities of our neurosurgeon, providing expert clinical support and guidance
  • Act as a gatekeeper for our neurosurgeon, ensuring seamless communication and coordination
  • Answer clinical questions, write notes, and obtain medical clearance for surgeries
  • Participate in peer-to-peer reviews, coordinate surgeries, and round on patients in the hospital
  • Provide first point of contact during hospital call coverage and ensure the surgeon has all necessary setup, instrumentation, and hardware in the Operating Room
Requirements
  • Active Florida license
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intraoperative first-assist experience or willingness to learn with our teaching
  • Desire to assist in the OR, inpatient rounding, and clinic
  • Neurosurgery experience preferred, surgical experience helpful
