AI/ML Hardware Engineer

At Lockheed Martin, we're seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Hardware Engineer to join our team in developing cutting-edge autonomous systems. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you'll work alongside research engineers, data scientists, software developers, physicists, and mathematicians to design and implement innovative AI/ML solutions for space applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop hardware solutions for autonomous systems, including sensing, compute, storage, and controls.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers to provide next-generation hardware solutions.
  • Integrate hardware with software and systems, and support human-machine interface tests and preparations for certification and deployment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, etc.).
  • Advanced experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, or Image Processing hardware.
  • Experience developing on modern hardware systems using GPUs, FPGAs, etc.

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, C/C++, or MATLAB.
  • Experience with RF, SAR, or EO image processing algorithms/techniques.
  • Experience with embedded systems and/or firmware development.
  • Experience with sensing and perception hardware systems and embedded system design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.

Security Clearance:

This position requires a government security clearance, and you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
