Job Summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Full-time EMT for our Critical Care Transport team. The EMT assesses injuries and administers emergency medical care. As part of a team that includes a paramedic and registered nurse, the Critical Care Transport EMT provides care to critically ill and injured patients from pediatric to geriatric populations. This role requires excellent communication skills and strong critical thinking ability.

Key Responsibilities

Assess injuries and administer emergency medical care
Provide care to critically ill and injured patients
Work as part of a team to deliver high-quality patient care
Develop and maintain strong communication skills
Utilize critical thinking to make informed decisions

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent
National EMT Certification with successful completion of State of Delaware recognized EMT-Basic level after hire
Successful completion of an emergency vehicle operator's course
BLS
At least three years of previous experience as an EMT

Benefits

ChristianaCare offers a robust benefits package, including healthcare, 403b, tuition reimbursement, shift differentials, and generous paid time off. This is a Full Time (80 hours per pay) position with Day/Evening/Midnight rotations and combinations of 8 and 12 hour shifts.
