The Assistant Nurse Manager position in the Radiology Department, Pain Management & Critical Care Transport at University Hospital, Newark NJ, is responsible for managing the area, including assessing, planning, directing, and ensuring adherence to established guidelines. This role requires a strong nursing background, with a focus on charge responsibilities and 24-hour accountability for nursing care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Radiology Department, Pain Management & Critical Care Transport area, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to hospital policies.
- Assess, plan, and direct nursing care, working closely with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective department operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
Requirements
- Graduate of NLN-approved RN education program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the NJ State Board of Nursing.
- BLS certification required.
- Two years of progressively more responsible nursing experience required.
- One year of Radiology and/or Pain Management nursing experience preferred.
- Management experience preferred.
- CCRN certification preferred.
- ACLS/PALS certification preferred.
- BSN preferred.
