**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at WhatJobs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain the appearance and functionality of our properties.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs
  • Conduct exterior maintenance, including grounds upkeep and building exterior maintenance
  • Respond to resident requests and work with residents to minimize/resolve problems and complaints
  • Complete assigned service requests and repairs in a safe and timely manner
  • Perform turn-key work to ensure vacant apartment homes are rent-ready
  • Operate new equipment and follow safety procedures
  • Walk and inspect grounds, maintaining cleanliness and removing debris
  • Clean common areas, including pressure washing and cleaning windows
  • Empty trash receptacles and transport trash to the disposal area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

**Requirements:**

  • Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience or apartment maintenance experience
  • On-call and weekend service experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven working experience in electrical, appliance repairs, and janitorial work
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets
  • Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
  • Pass a background and drug screening

**What We Offer:**

  • Salary: $24.00 to $25.00 per hour
  • On-call for after-hours emergencies
