About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Life Safety Systems Designer to join our team at Selectek. As a key member of our Life Safety Systems delivery team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering complex packages in coordination with multi-disciplinary engineers and design leads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilizing AutoCAD and Revit MEP, you will create 3D model spaces in coordination with architects and engineers.
  • You will design Fire Alarm Detection Systems, HPM leak detection, Toxic Gas Management Systems, and Security and Intrusion detection systems.
  • In addition to modeling work, you will perform calculations, apply NFPA and ICC codes, and other standards to model content, and specify equipment at the direction of the engineering staff.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • At least 3-5 years of AutoCAD experience, preferably with Revit experience
  • Systems design experience with Fire Alarm Systems, Voice Evacuation, Gas Detection, VESDA, Access Control, CCTV
  • NICET Level II certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of systems design experience
  • Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
  • Knowledge of Fire/Life Safety systems and manufacturer's equipment
  • Industrial design experience
  • NICET Level III certification or ability to obtain within 1 year
