Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing strategic initiatives such as new store openings, store relocations, and store renovations. The successful candidate will provide management and oversight of various contractors and store management across the nation to ensure these retail initiatives are deployed on time, on budget, and with quality control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate multiple store merchandising projects, providing oversight and ensuring transparency to key stakeholders.
  • Provide operational support and manage operational escalations for all Tractor Supply and third-party team members involved in assigned merchandising projects.
  • Build efficient processes and workflows for on-time, efficient execution, with a focus on achieving Tractor Supply Company standards.
  • Drive team communication, both within cross-functional internal partners, third-party partners, and leadership teams.
  • Work with key stakeholders to understand related business strategies, objectives, and priorities, ensuring alignment with the current business strategy.
  • Direct third-party vendors to complete New Store, Relocation Store, and Merchandising Initiative projects, meeting contract requirements and Tractor Supply Company timelines.
  • Review and monitor projects for compliance with TSC standards.
  • Develop and document training plans and conduct training meetings for Tractor Supply Company operational teams and third-party teams to convey merchandising standards.
  • Evaluate exceptions that may occur during the store setup process and choose an appropriate form of action to complete the store, ensuring on-time opening while adhering to Tractor Supply Company merchandising standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the Store Support Center involved parties, providing project status updates, roadblocks to completion, and needed support to achieve resolutions.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements
  • 5 years of retail management, project management, store setup, or related experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand basic store floor plans, planograms, and fixture schematics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team while also working independently, demonstrating sound judgment.
  • Effective time management while handling multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to move objects weighing 50 pounds for distances up to 30ft.
  • Demonstrate a good standing driver's license.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to work some nights and weekends.
  • Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, walking, kneeling/stooping/bending, reaching overhead, driving a vehicle, lifting up to 50 pounds.
