Medical Laboratory Specialist

Catholic Health Service is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Mercy Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tests and procedures to ensure accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Perform and document quality control and equipment maintenance procedures.
- Review and verify all work performed, taking appropriate action for abnormal and critical results.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and other laboratory personnel to ensure seamless operation of the laboratory.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
- Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in the state of New York.
- 1-2 years of clinical laboratory experience.
